Hi. I’m Erin and I’m glad you’re here.

I’m a Fashion Designer and brand builder and recently, I’ve found I have some things to say so I created this site.

Check out my current business at www.rentrayage.com or contact me here for other inquiries.

Rentrayage

2019 – Present

Rentrayage was born out of the concept of reimagining and reanimating what has already existed; creating beauty and value, new shape, new form, new style from what has been discarded.

Inspired by Louise Bourgeois, Rentrayage is a French word to mend and to “make whole again,“ we bring old clothes, vintage fabrics, and dead-stock back to life. But this goes beyond stitching things back together in a new way; this is the groundwork for a new way of thinking along with innovative methods.

At Rentrayage we make beautiful things in beautiful ways. Finally, clothing and home goods you can feel good about.

SUNO

2008–2017

In 2008, I co-founded SUNO, a brand known for its bold prints and high-end tailoring. The inaugural collection, produced in Kenya using vintage Kanga fabrics, grew into a global business with production spanning India, Italy, Kenya, New York, and Peru. SUNO was a finalist for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund in both 2011 and 2012, won the CFDA Swarovski Award for Womenswear in 2013, and was a finalist for the inaugural LVMH Prize in 2014. During this time, I also served as Creative Director of RTW at Tory Burch

My Fashion Biography:

Erin Beatty began her career in fashion with internships at Chanel and Nylon Magazine while earning her English degree at UCLA. After graduating, she joined The GAP’s Retail Management Program, where she gained experience in merchandising and product management. Driven by a lifelong passion for design, Beatty enrolled in Parsons’ AAS program, later interning at Donna Karan Collection before joining Generra as a designer under her mentor, Pina Ferlisi.

In 2008, Beatty co-founded SUNO, a brand known for its bold prints and high-end tailoring. During this time, Beatty also served as Creative Director of RTW at Tory Burch.

Following SUNO’s closure and the birth of her second child, Beatty began consulting for emerging brands in fashion and interiors, offering creative direction, brand management, and strategy. Motivated by a desire to address fashion’s environmental impact, she founded Rentrayage, a sustainable brand dedicated to transforming vintage and deadstock materials into meticulously crafted fashion and home goods.

Rentrayage has been featured in Vogue, Elle, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times, and is sold in leading boutiques such as ABC Carpet & Home, Capitol, Ikram, and Jamestown. Through Rentrayage, Beatty continues to push the boundaries of sustainability and design, blending artistry with conscious innovation.
